Fall Vera Bradley BINGO Fundraiser

Sunday, November 13th, 2011

Games start at 2:00 pm. Doors open at 1:30 pm

The Vera-Bradley Bingo Fundraiser will be at the Lake Monticello Fire House.

The details of this fundraiser are as follows:

The date is Sunday, November 13, 2011
Doors open at 1:30 pm
There will be one session at 2:00 pm
Tickets are $15
Various prize packages will be offered made up exclusively of Vera Bradley products
Raffle tickets will be available during the game
Food service will be available
There will be 10 games

Fluvanna Education Foundation Spelling Bee Competition-2010

The Fourth Annual Fluvanna Education Foundation Spelling Bee was held on January 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Fluvanna Middle School. This competition showcased the talents of students in the 6^th, 7^th, and 8^th grades. All students did a great job participating. Special thanks to Ms. Cheryl Gilliam and Mrs. Brigitte Van Tassel, our judges and Mr. Tom Muir for being the moderator.

Congratulations to:

First Place Winner - Hunter Beck - 8th grade

2nd Place Winner - Jon Corbin - 6th grade

3rd Place Winner - Andy Guess - 6th grade

The Second Annual Central Elementary School Spelling Bee was held on February 18th at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. This event featured 25 students, from each 4th and 5th grade class. This was a great success and the students were fantastic! Special thanks go to Del. Rob Bell, for being the moderator for this event. Thanks also to Sara Pinkney, Jen Valentine, Patrick Wood, Tanya Cook, Doris Duncan and Gayle Bashore for helping make this a success.

Second Place Winner - Susannah Carr - 5th grade

First Place winners from all area schools will participate in the

Scripps National Spelling Bee on March 13, 2010 to be held at Monticello High School.

This event will be aired and sponsored by NBC 29.

If you would like to become a sponsor for this event next year, the various levels of sponsorship are as follows:

Gold Sponsors – Businesses that contribute at least $100.
Silver Sponsors – Businesses that contribute between $50 and $99.
Bronze Sponsors – Businesses that contribute between $10 and $49.

All sponsors will be recognized at the competition on a poster and in the event brochures. Sponsors will also be recognized in an advertisement after the Final Event congratulating the competitions winners.
